Waterway, Inc., Announces Expansion To Iuka and at Tri -State Commerce Park
 

Waterway, Inc., a subsidiary of Tiffin Motorhomes, announces a new operation in an 80,000 sq. ft. industrial building in the Iuka Industrial Park.   The project involves an expansion of employment at its Tri-State Commerce Park operation which will initially create 75 jobs.

The company will manufacture side and roof panels for motor homes at the Iuka facility.  General Manager Jim Shillito reports that "we were impressed with the City of Iuka and the willingness of city leaders to work with us.  The labor force in the region is also attractive and we look forward to growing our fiberglass operation in Iuka and at Tri-State Commerce Park."

Iuka Mayor Jackie Bryant expressed appreciation to Waterway, Inc. and Tiffin Motorhomes for selecting Iuka for the Company's newest operation  and stated that "we appreciate our economic development partners at the Mississippi Development Authority and the Tennessee Valley Authority for their help in making this project possible.  Tiffin's emphasis on quality, dependability, and service before and after the sale has resulted in phenomenal growth for the company.  Tiffin Motorhomes has earned a reputation for top of the line in quality motor homes, and we are proud to have this fine company in our community."

The Mississippi Development Authority awarded the City of Iuka a CAP loan up to $90,000.00 and a CDBG grant of $500,000.00 for building renovations.  The city purchased the building from Paul Bonds.

The Tishomingo County Development Foundation awarded Tiffin Motorhomes the "Industry of the Year" Award for 2006.  Tiffin Motorhomes expanded into Belmont, Mississippi in 2004 with the most advanced paint facility in the USA.  The new paint facility is one of only two such facilities in the USA.  The Belmont paint facility was expanded in 2006.

Tiffin Motorhomes has grown to become the largest single employer in Tishomingo County with over 300 employed in the county.  The company also employs over 1,000 workers in its Red Bay, Alabama facility.

The National RV Dealers Association has rated Tiffin Motorhomes as one of the best RV manufacturers in the USA in dealer satisfaction.  For the 12th year, the National RV Dealers Association confidentially polled dealers nationwide on their level of satisfaction with the manufacturers.  Only seven manufacturers scored the Quality Circle.  The survey rates such areas as sales, product, management, and service/warranty support.  The survey included 34 recreational vehicle manufacturers all across the USA.

Tiffin Motorhomes had the highest overall score and scored number one in the United States in Quality Sales Support and Training, Competitive Product Design, Innovative Product Design, Prompt Service, Top Management Accessibility, Understands Dealer Operations, Considers Dealer Input, Fair Policies and Procedures, High Quality Field Staff, Product Support, Promotes Customer Satisfaction/Loyalty, and others.
