ERSHIGS Announces Tishomingo County Location

Tom Pilcher, President, Ershigs, Inc. of Bellingham, Washington, announces the location of the company's latest expansion in Tishomingo, County, Mississippi. The company will lease several buildings at Tri-State Commerce Park from the Tishomingo County Board of Supervisors. Ershigs will manufacture large fiberglass chimney liners and other fiberglass components. The company will initially employ at lease 25 with as many as 100 or more expected within 24 months.

Tishomingo County Board of Supervisors President Arlie South welcomes Ershigs and reported that "the county competed very aggressively for this project. Our skilled and dedicated workforce was a major consideration along with our strategic location at the juncture of two waterways."

Iuka Mayor Jackie Bryant also welcomes Ershigs and stressed that "Ershigs is a solid company with tremendous growth potential."

Tishomingo County Development Foundation Chairman Ken Cooley "congratulates the Board of Supervisors and stressed that this is a good example of teamwork at every level.

Ershigs Vice President of Field Operations Rod Courtney reported that "Tishomingo County was attractive to us because of the skilled labor force and the local leadership is supportive of business and industry. Tri-State Commerce Park is located at the intersection of the Tennessee River and the Tenn-Tom Waterway which gives us the flexibility to ship our large components by water. We are pleased to announce that Richard Spears will be the Site Manager of our Tishomingo County facility."

District I Supervisor Dale Price reported that "many worked hard on this project to make it happen. We especially want to thank Kerry Milligan and his crew for their hard work and dedication to making this project work. We thank Governor Barbour and the Mississippi Development Authority, the Tennessee Valley Authority, North Mississippi Industrial Development Association, Northeast Mississippi Community College, Northeast Mississippi Planning & Development District, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, Representative Ricky Cummings, Senator J.P. Wilemon, Senator Travis Little, and Representative Jamie Franks. We also extend thanks to our congressional delegation Senator Thad Cochran, Senator Trent Lott, and Congressman Roger Wicker."

Rod Courtney, reported that "Ershigs, Inc. is the leading manufacturer of Industrial Fiberglass Products in the nation. Ershigs does a large amount of its work with the power industry building large fiberglass chimney liners. These liners are cylindrical in shape and range from 12' to 45' in diameter. These liners can be built onsite at the customer's plant or offsite and barged to the customer's location. After touring the Yellow Creek Port Industrial Site we saw excellent potential in expanding our business to your area"

The company is scheduled to begin setting up operations in Tri-State Commerce Park in September of this year.
